Happy Valentine’s Day! We are still working on many industry tours and will announce them when the time comes. There are many exciting seminars coming your way as well. Read more below!

  1. Seminar: Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing (MAE Seminar) - Thursday

Our club's advisor, Dr. Barbara Linke, will have a seminar on sustainable manufacturing on Thursday! Click here to find out more. It will be on Feb 16, 2023 @ 4:10pm - 5:00pm  located at Bainer Hall, Room 1062.

  1. Help Us Raise Funds!

We have launched our Crowdfund campaign! As we try to help you all and maximize your club experience, please spread the word to your friends and family! For as little as $10, your friends and family can make a huge difference in our campaign and help us reach our goal! So far, we have raised $300. Help us get to $5000! https://crowdfund.ucdavis.edu/project/35548

  1. Seminar: Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Part II

This national seminar will cover the fundamentals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) with a focus on application to digital manufacturing. GD&T, synonymously known as geometric product specification (GPS), offers a set of tools for design engineers to communicate geometric specifications to manufacturers and inspectors via engineering drawings. While GD&T is well-known in industry, it is not commonly taught in engineering classrooms and often suffers from misconceptions even among practicing engineers. This will be on Fri, Feb 17, 2023 @ 9:00am.

  1. Seminar: The Technology to Tackle for the Highest Quality/Performance Cutting Tools

This other national seminar will cover cutting tools, especially endmills, which have evolved and most modern machine shops are chasing high quality and high-performance tools to remove metal with speed, maintain accuracy, and ensure long tool life. This will take place on Wed, Feb 22, 2023 @ 11:00am.
