Barbara Linke got her diploma (2002),  doctorate (2007), and habilitation (2015) in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. She worked as a research associate at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL in Aachen, Germany from 2002 – 2010. From 2010 – 2012, Barbara Linke was a research fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been a faculty member at the University of California Davis since 2012 and works on sustainable manufacturing and abrasive machining at the MASTeR Lab. She likes reading, canvas painting, and spending time with her family and pets.
