Our Mission

We want to make manufacturing more accessible to students in UC Davis! Regardless of your major, engineering or not, we want to provide you a gateway to the world of engineering and manufacturing. From semiconductor fabrication to machines to biomedical devices, anything that pertain to manufacturing, we are the club for you!

We are a student chapter of the national society. As the only University of California with a student chapter, we are chapter U231.

There is no fee to "join" SME @ UCD and we do not keep a roster of members. If you are interested in attending an event, simply RSVP (or just show up if RSVP not required!). If you are interested in being a national SME member, you can head to the national website to register yourself!
