Barbara Linke got her German Diplom (2002) and doctorate (2007) in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. She worked from 2002 – 2010 as research associate at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL. From 2010 – 2012, Barbara Linke was a research fellow at the University of California Berkeley. Since November 2012, she has been an assistant professor at the University of California Davis and works on sustainable manufacturing and abrasive machining. She likes reading, canvas painting and spending time with her two daughters.
Anthony is a fourth year aerospace and mechanical major at UC Davis. Outside of SME, Anthony is a member of UC Davis’s men rugby team. He inspires to work for a big-name engineering company after graduating. Anthony wants to work hands-on in manufacturing a brighter future for mankind.
Taylor is a third year majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in technology management. Outside of class, she enjoys baking, sewing, drawing, and designing and implementing other artsy projects. In the future, she hopes to apply her love for creative design and manufacturing technology to a mechanical design position after graduating.
Rajdeep is a third year mechanical engineering student at UC Davis. He loves putting things together, playing video games, and singing. In the future, he hopes to apply his knowledge and skills to create technologies that will ameliorate the future.
Peter is a second year majoring in mechanical engineering at UC Davis. Peter enjoys hiking, photography, and reading science fiction. Outside of his job as a microscope technician and participation in Formula SAE, he spends his time mentoring a local high school robotics team. He hopes to pursue a career in 3D design and rapid prototyping.
