Barbara Linke got her Diplom (2002), doctorate (2007), and Habilitation (2015) in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. She worked from 2002 – 2010 as a research associate at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL, Aachen, Germany. From 2010 – 2012, Barbara Linke was a research fellow at the University of California Berkeley. Since 2012, she is a faculty member at the University of California Davis and works on sustainable manufacturing and abrasive machining. She likes reading, canvas painting, and spending time with her family and pets.
Justin is a fourth-year aerospace and mechanical major at UC Davis. He is interested in advancements in the manufacturing industry that enable the production of new aerodynamic technologies. In his free time, he enjoys photography, playing video games, 3D printing, and watching anime.
Dalia is a third-year mechanical engineering major. She is interested in manufacturing, machining, and rapid prototyping. She enjoys hands-on projects that allow her to express her creativity. Aside from this, Dalia is very passionate about photography, enjoys painting on canvases, playing video games, and going on random adventures.
Abigail is a fourth-year biomedical engineering major and history minor. She primarily focuses on genetics and bioengineering but is interested in the rapid prototyping of medical devices. Outside of academics, Abigail is passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM and enjoys long-distance running in her spare time.
